For a limited time only, bookings can be secured with a Special Discounted Deposit of 10%. Balances due 2 weeks before arrival for stays during 2020. For Christmas and New Year, balances are due 4 weeks in advance of your stay. Bookings affected by COVID-19 Government accommodation closures can be rescheduled, honoured with a voucher or refunded. Please do not visit if you, or any of your party, are feeling unwell or experiencing symptoms of Corona Virus or have been in contact with anyone with symptoms of Corona Virus 14 days prior to arrival. We ask all our quests to help us ensure their well-being by following us in adhering to Government guidelines on preventing the spread of Corona Virus.
We highly recommend you take out holiday insurance.
For bookings made in 2021, the deposit will be 25% and the balance for your holiday will be due at least 8 weeks before your arrival date. If you make your booking within 8 weeks of your arrival date then the full amount is payable upon booking.

A few small notes
If your booking is affected by Covid-19 Government accommodation closures we will do our very best to reschedule where possible, or offer a voucher towards a future stay, as a first step prior to refunding.
We welcome a maximum of two dogs and an additional fee of £25 is chargeable. Registered assistance dogs are free. Please refer to the Pets clause in our Terms and Conditions for further information on bringing your pet to stay at Gable Cottage.
We would ask guests to be mindful of small children when using the garden as this has been laid with gravel rather than grass.
We would also ask guests to refrain from smoking or vaping inside the cottage.
There are a number of steps to the cottage from both the roadside and the driveway which have a handrail so are negotiable with care but may not be suitable for wheelchair users. Our Accessibility Guide provides some further information on the cottage facilities and layout.
As much as we hope you won’t need to cancel your holiday we know that life can be unpredictable so we recommend you take out Holiday Insurance, just for peace of mind. Unfortunately, a refund can only be given if we are able to re-let Gable Cottage for the original dates and at the original rate. Any expenses involved in re-letting are deductable from that refund. To save you a last minute dash to the shops on your arrival we provide a welcome pack which includes milk, bread, jam, marmalade, butter, juice, biscuits, sugar, a small selection of tea / coffee as well as a few other little goodies! Do please let us know of any food allergies (e.g. lactose / gluten etc.) and we will do our best to accommodate you. Don’t forget you also have the community village shop in Finstock which is only a 5 minute drive away.

For your comfort
We will also set you up with some kitchen essentials including washing up liquid, cleaning supplies, dishwasher tablets, bin bags, kitchen roll, salt & pepper, olive oil and the all-important loo roll! This is just to get you started. If you finish anything during your stay you will need to replace it as we are unable to restock.
